What are the Do’s and Don’ts of
Writing a CV?

Unless you have an experience of 30 years in
your industry, you can create a 3 page CV, but for the rest, keep it up to 2

CV should be aligned to your job
Hiring managers have a knack for spotting a
generic CV even while skimming the pool of them. Instead of jamming up your
skills and achievements, choose skills and experience that align with the job
role you have applied for. This helps in expanding your attributes and prove
how you can be a good addition.
Don’ts

Tell a lie
White lies are a no-no! Know that hiring
managers always perform background checks. If you are a suitable candidate,
know that if you have lied on your CV in any way, it would probably be
unleashed one way or the other.

Forget to include your cover letter
Always attach a cover letter to your CV, no
matter what. It is the most ideal way to reinforce your application as it lets
you expand on some aspects of your CV. But it shouldn’t be simply in a
paragraph.
